In what kind of a society do we want to live? This question is an implicit part of Christine Quentin’s talk. Are we inevitably linked to a dominant and intangible economic and social model, or are there alternatives? Of course alternatives exist, but we have to explain them to managers and journalists because they are the ones who are likely to implement them. This is the task which the speaker – who had previously worked in the corporate world before becoming a journalist – set herself three years ago when she started hosting a radio station’s business programme. Six hundred programmes later, her conclusions are optimistic: the frontiers are changing and everything is possible.
