Does the daily printed press still have a future? In the face of information which has become instantaneous because of the speed of social networks, the profession of journalism is changing, publicists are turning to other forms of media, and the large press groups must now seriously reconsider their economic model. With the daily ‘Le Parisien’ losing money for twenty-five years and the daily sports newspaper ‘L’équipe’ slowing declining, the owner of the Amaury press group asked an industrialist to tackle the establishment and traditional culture in order to make her company survive in the new digital world. Six years later, the Group’s publications are back in the black, and journalists are open to using digital tools as well as new forms of media.
