After studying physics at the École Normale Supérieure and obtaining a PhD from Stanford, Hervé Le Lous took charge of a low-profile subsidiary of the Fournier Group, founded by his father, with the ambition of making it a leader in supermarket parapharmacy. He launched it into the food supplement market and achieved success, particularly with products from the Juvamine brand. After his father's death, he took over the management of the Group, sold Laboratoires Fournier and focused on Laboratoires URGO. He believed that plasters had considerable potential to become the European leader. Today, the Group employs 3,500 people and has a turnover of nearly €1 billion. Passionate about teaching and convinced that capitalism and humanism feed off each other, he developed methods for creating, growing, managing, deciding, managing relationships and negotiating. He encouraged his employees to immerse themselves in these methods, which he recorded in a book when he handed over the reins of the Group to his children.
