BA Systèmes is a company located in Brittany which designs‚ manufactures and sells mobile robotics systems for industrial and medical applications. It is located near Rennes and employs one hundred and twenty people who work in the mechatronics sector. It has more than sixty-five engineers and six PhDs. In 2007‚ in an attempt to diversify its activities while maintaining its skills in its technologies‚ BA Systèmes put in place an innovation unit aimed to develop products in collaboration with laboratories and industrial users. This organisational scheme was devised as a result of research studies regarding management. Since 2006‚ the traditional activities of the company have grown, and, thanks to collaborative projects, new activities in robotics have emerged. These projects‚ supported by competitiveness clusters‚ have resulted in new programmes of industrialisation and product sales on the international market.
