Seminar Digital and entrepreneurial transformations | Monday June 4, 2018 - 17h30 - 19h30

Can one really sleep soundly when the security of about one hundred information systems (IS) throughout the world is resting on one’s shoulders? When Thierry Auger left EADS in the early 2000s and took charge of IS security at the Lagardère Group, he quickly understood that he would have to change the existing methods radically, forget the restrictive recommendations and devise a new approach based on reference frames and reasonable, measurable and watertight rules. In 2015, as a result of the media coverage of several important security breaches in other companies, Lagardère’s supervisory board carried out an internal study into the security of the Group’s information systems, and arranged regular meetings with the head of IS security. Since then, Thierry Auger can only welcome the progress made by the Group due to a pragmatic approach whereby certain aspects have been abandoned in favour of more essential factors, and this has mobilised the skills and solidarity of in-house and external networks.
