No more providential man! If the exceptional return to the forefront of the French rugby team, after ten lean years, corresponds to the arrival of a new coach, it is the fruit of a patiently elaborated collective work, aiming to leave behind a "survivor's logic" where the obsession of results had killed the ambition. The concern for short-term performance has been replaced by a long-term project based on a delicate balance between group dynamics and individual initiative, the emergence of strong personalities and adherence to a collective strategy, the long-term vision and the demands of the short-term, the enhancement of national culture and adaptation to international competition... Are these issues not similar to those faced by companies in managing their high potentials and in their strategy for adapting to globalisation?
