Ensuring the energy transition of the bus network of Paris and its suburb by 2025 is a revolution for the RATP (Public transport in Paris and Île-de-France), especially for the departments that perform the daily feat of running this great machine. The risks of delays in operations of this type are significant, but the project must be ready for the opening up to competition in 2025, as decided by Brussels, and to respect the commitments to the energy transition towards electricity and biogas. The date is therefore intangible, regardless of the project's complexity. After bringing the major tramway project in Bordeaux to a successful conclusion within the deadline, François Warnier de Wailly is now, following in the footsteps of Felix von Pechmann, at the head of this new challenge, which he is leading in start-up manner within the RATP. Resolving the antagonism between the bus line operation's smooth running and the system's transformation, on such a scale and with such constraints, is an experience that was worth sharing, in the form of a joint intervention between the project's initiator and the person who is deploying it.
