GT solutions, a road transport company founded in 1946, employs 2,000 people, including 1,600 drivers. It focuses on niche markets where prices are higher: crane trucks, temperature-controlled food transport, tyre deliveries, etc. The job of a truck driver is difficult, poorly valued, and even poorly regarded, as was the case at the start of the spring 2020 lockdown. GT solutions has always been concerned with valuing its drivers and developing a culture of belonging among them. As early as 1993, it promoted the acquisition of shares and bonds, and today has around 680 shareholders. In 2011, after a series of disasters, the management wants to strengthen the resilience of the company by developing a culture of commitment and creating spaces of freedom for the teams. While being wary of the “liberated company” trend, it is organising an intense mobilisation, the stages of which Michel Sarrat describes, as well as the errors and good surprises.
