In order to solve the recurrent problem of “ legitimate leave of absence ”, Thales created an in-house consultancy structure for executives and engineers who are on temporary secondment. Over a period of eighteen months, they learn the job of a consultant and devote their operational experience towards the strategic orientation of the group in the different departments. Although the finishing touches have yet to be added, the result of the first two years of Thales Missions & Conseil already demonstrates the importance of this pioneering structure, both for groups undergoing total transformation and for individuals in search of job mobility.
