After a high-powered career in the field of marketing technology, Martin Haemmig launched an international study on venture capital. The data collected from his investigations into one hundred capital risk funds in thirteen countries (United States, Israel, Europe and Asia) show important regional differences which he relates to five local factors (legal regulations, the culture, the economy, the tax system and the nature of the intermediaries). The impact of an active group of venture capitalists on jobs and growth is very positive. Therefore, it is important to encourage their growth.
