To recruit a team to take over and to perpetuate the growth of the group, L'Oréal goes to great lengths to seduce select and train young people throughout the world. The key elements of this method include company role-playing games which enable the assessors to see the best potential people in action; numerous training sessions; and centres in which the new recruits live for six months. Partnerships with about one hundred carefully chosen training institutions are also established. It is a long, drawn-out process which the human resources team undertakes in order to expand the breeding ground for managers, from being essentially European to include all the countries of the world.
