Dassault Systèmes, the global leader in 3D solutions and management of product life cycles, invents and sells software solutions enabling its 1,1OO clients to design, create and simulate virtually in 3D the manufacture, use and recycling of their products. This company has developed an original know-how in an innovative world for permanent organisational and managerial change. This approach, which pervades the entire company, encourages teams to go beyond the usual method of defining responsibilities, including extending to other areas. There are no limits or boundaries, simply centres of gravity. Such flexibility allows for an extremely rapid redeployment of resources necessary to achieve priority objectives, as well as fast-tracking career progressions by taking a risk with employees, quite unusual at such a level in large groups. This flexibility incurs a cost with respect to the work involved, the time spent and the anxiety that this may sometimes cause. It therefore calls for a great deal of rigour and a sharp sense of managerial sensitivity. Nonetheless, such an investment gives the company a decisive competitive edge.
