Perfumer for Hermès since 2004. Prior to this appointment, he created perfumes such as First, for Van-Cleef & Arpels (the first perfume made by a jewellery maker) ; Eau de Campagne for Sisley ; Eau parfumée au Thé Vert (which began the tendency for perfumes whose main ingredient is tea) for Bulgari ; Déclaration for Cartier ; as well as numerous other perfumes for niche brands, such as Frédéric Malle, the perfume artisan. Jean-Claude Ellena's aim is to bring together sensitivity and understanding.
