Docteur en sciences économiques ; directeur de recherche au CNRS ; il a été directeur du département scientifique des Sciences de l'homme et de la société du CNRS et administrateur de la Fondation MSH ; il a réalisé en 2006 une recherche approfondie sur le fonctionnement de l'entreprise Hervé Thermique (De la Pyramide aux réseaux, éditions Autrement, 2007).
